Package Includes Performing a Ceremony or Legal Signing, and Scheduling a Phone Rehearsal
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SIMPLE ELOPEMENT
The event requires a 10-day notice for last-minute ceremonies or up to 8-months in advance.
The Officiant Fee includes a retainer and ceremony fees.
The retainer fee is non-refundable.
These fees will be explained in more detail in a Confirmation Email.
Payments must be made via Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, Check/Money Order.
Ceremony words are discussed over the phone and in an Email Confirmation.
If booking less than 30-days the ceremony words are written for you with the option to recite your own vows.
PHONE REHEARSAL
Carolyn Burke [Officiant] will confirm this appointment before the event - a phone rehearsal.
Details of the phone rehearsal will be stated in the Email Confirmation.
Officiant and Couple will go over the details and "rehearse" via the phone at that time.
You both do not need to be available for the phone rehearsal - only one of you is fine.
Please be thoughtful and START ON TIME.
Officiant cannot guarantee their time if the ceremony is more than 15 minutes late.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
If the ceremony includes a sand ceremony, unity candle, or any other special feature, the couple is responsible for furnishing all equipment needed. Officiant agrees to arrive at the wedding location listed on the Confirmation Email at the agreed time. Couple understands that they must adhere to these times but Officiant does understand weddings do not always go as planned and will accommodate for weddings that start later than scheduled, as time permits. Officiant will allow for a 15-minute block of time to give plenty of time for unexpected delays.
CEREMONY LOCATION
The agreement with Elope in St Louis is subject to proven detention by accidents, riots, strikes, epidemics, acts of mother nature, or any other legitimate conditions beyond their control. If it is an uncovered ceremony site, it is the Couple's responsibility to find an indoor or covered location during inclement weather. If there is extreme temperatures above 100 degrees or below 35 degrees, it is the Couple's responsibility to find an indoor location.
ACTS OF MOTHER NATURE: extreme weather or unsafe conditions affecting the venue and surrounding areas, such as tornadoes, flooding, fire, or severe heat/cold.
CANCELLATION and REFUND TERMS:
If Officiant cancels due to health or emergency circumstances, all reasonable efforts will be made by Officiant to find a replacement. Should Officiant be unable to secure a replacement to perform the ceremony, Couple shall receive a full refund. Couple agrees that in all circumstances, Officiant liability shall be exclusively limited to an amount equal to the performance fee and that Officiant shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from any breach of contract.
Still photographs may be used for such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and website content.
FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE OR MAKE PAYMENT
Carolyn Burke (Officiant) may terminate the Confirmation Email upon a Couple’s failure to reply to emails/texts or make a payment for more than 48 hours after delivery of written reminder notice to Couple of such failure.

Full payment ($75) is due to hold the date and is non-refundable.
Payments must be made via Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, or Zelle.
This package has a guest limit of 10 people if at a park you did not reserve.
The ceremony words are written for you with the option to recite your own vows.

Package Includes paperwork for the Legal Marriage License Signing.
Available Monday - Friday between 10:00am to 2:00pm for $50.
Kirkwood Library is at 140 East Jefferson Avenue 63122.
Payment is due in CASH when Officiant arrives.
Carolyn Burke [Officiant] will text Couple 1 to 2 hours before start time on the day of event to confirm.
Please be thoughtful and START ON TIME.
Officiant cannot guarantee their time if the appointment is more than 10 minutes late.
CANCELLATION OF KIRKWOOD LIBRARY LEGAL SIGNING PACKAGE:
If Officiant cancels due to health or emergency circumstances, Couple may re-schedule or use the references of other Officiants provided. Officiant may terminate the meeting based on a Couple’s failure to reply to phone calls/texts to confirm appointment.

DELUXE ELOPEMENT

The event requires a 10-day notice for last-minute ceremonies or up to 8-months in advance.
50% deposit is required to reserve this package. $150 is non-refundable.
The balance is due 10 days before your elopement date.
Elopements are ceremonies that are planned no more than 8 months ahead.
This fee does not include lodging or dining at the locations listed on ElopeInStLouis.com or found on your own.
In Missouri, just a date, time and location, a Missouri marriage license, and the two of you.
In Illinois you must provide a Marriage License from the same county where the elopement will take place (ex. Madison, St Clair).
**Additional travel expense may apply depending on the location of the event.
**Additional floral expense may apply depending additional needs of one bouquet and boutonniere.
**Additional photographer expense may apply if you want more time with the photographer.
**Additional fee may apply if you have more than 15 guests.
**Holiday elopements and certain locations (based on distance) may be subject to additional fees.
The Deluxe Elopement package is designed as an elopement for a couple [Couple] and up to 15 guests.
The Couple, Officiant, and Photographer are NOT included in the 15-person guest count for the deluxe elopement package.
In Missouri or Illinois, witnesses may not be required. (Check with the Recorder of Deeds to be sure.)
For events with more than 15 guests, a $20 charge per person will be added with a maximum of 20 guests.

PHOTOGRAPHER TERMS:
The professional Photographer will provide a 30-minute photo session at one location which includes the ceremony, formal pictures, and a portrait session and provides 30+ images of high-resolution images and the image rights within a time frame not to exceed four weeks from elopement date. Additional expense will apply if you want more time with the photographer (maximum one hour with 60+ images). Images are chosen at the discretion of Photographer and may be edited. Couple agrees that we may use still photographs for such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and website content. Photographer is announced (7) days before the event date.
FLOWER BOUQUET AND BOUTONNIERE TERMS:
Couple has a choice of a bouquet and boutonniere shown on website. The package price is not altered if Couple decides to provide their own flowers or none at all. A professional florist will make a bouquet and a coordinating boutonniere. They are fresh or silk, and add a special gracious touch for tradition and elegance. Additional fees may be needed if a same-sex Couple requires two matching bouquets. Additional floral expense may apply depending additional needs of one bouquet and one boutonniere.
MARRIAGE LICENSE :
Couple understands that it is the their responsibility to acquire a valid marriage license in the state where the wedding ceremony will take place and the marriage license must be on the premises when the ceremony is performed. Couple understands that failure to have these legal documents means that the Officiant cannot legally perform the ceremony and is under no obligation to do so. Officiant may at her discretion perform a symbolic ceremony, which will have no legal merit, and may perform another ceremony in private for the Couple once the legal documents are presented, for an additional fee. Couple will consult with the local court or city clerk to find the exact requirements for the Couple's area.
